With nearly two decades of industry experience, Brennan has worked on more than 200 productions across commercial, television, feature film, live and experiential formats. In 2008, he began his career in feature films as a set PA and quickly advanced through the assistant director department, taking on first AD responsibilities in 2012. Over the years he has collaborated with many of the country’s leading creatives and contributed to projects recognized with awards including the Cannes Silver Lion, a Merit Pencil at The One Show, and Shorty Awards honors (Audience Award and Bronze for Video Series), among others.
set philosophy
I run sets that feel good. Especially in the commercial world, when there are clients present, I understand the value of a calm, clear, collaborative set. I’m not a ‘my way or the highway’ AD. My job is to creatively and intelligently manipulate time, allowing each department to reach its maximum potential. My work starts in prep. Drawing on extensive experience and collaboration, I work hard in pre-pro to ensure each project is set up for success, long before the cameras roll.
